The Cherokee County School Board at its regular meeting on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, reviewed progress on the district’s Key Priorities, which drive CCSD’s work as an organization, and approved the stadium and athletic complex naming for the new replacement Cherokee High School.

Our school principals and district leaders participate in a monthly leadership and professional development meeting to succeed in our mission to be the highest performing school district in Georgia! This month's meeting kicked off with a celebration of the amazing work by our schools to achieve our highest College and Career Ready Performance Index scores ever -- representing impressive academic gains by our students as measured by the state's accountability system.
Every Thanksgiving season, our students participate in service learning projects to learn about those in need in their community and how to help them. From collecting canned food for MUST Ministries, to coloring cards for Cherokee Thanksgiving meal recipients, to creating Thanksgiving food baskets for local families, our students came together to make a positive difference in their community.
